The Portfolio Bubble Chart List Form

Form Overview

This form is displayed when you click on the “Bubble Charts” tab of the Portfolios form.

This form is used to create, open, modify, delete, and list all of the bubble charts in the Portfolio.

The form displays a list box that lists each bubble chart and its associated data objects (the X-, Y-, and Z-axes and the bubble size). Double-clicking on a row will open the corresponding bubble chart displayed on that row in the bubble chart form or the 3D bubble chart form. Right-clicking on a cell containing a bubble chart data assignment will pop up a menu that lets you change the attribute assignment directly in the list box (except for the Z-axis column).

The form also has a menu associated with it entitled “Bubble Charts.”

The Portfolio Bubble Chart List Form List Box:

The bubble chart list box displays the name of the bubble chart and the attributes associated with the data display: the X axis, the Y axis, and the bubble size. All of the columns can be sorted by clicking on the header at the top of the column.

The number (no.) column: the number column displays a number associated with each bubble chart row.

The chart name column: The chart name column displays the name of the bubble charts in the Portfolio. Slow double-clicking on a bubble chart name will make the name editable so you can modify it directly in the form. Names can not exceed 48 characters and cannot be duplicated within an individual Portfolio.

The X-axis, Y-axis, Z-axis and Bubble Size columns: these columns display the name of the attribute assigned to the data element of the particular bubble chart. Right clicking on a cell in the X-, Y-, or Bubble Size columns will pop up a menu that lets you change the attribute assignment directly. Any changes made to the data in any open bubble chart form is immediately reflected in that open bubble chart.

If the cell value in the Z-axis column is "None," it is a 2D bubble chart. If it contains an attribute value, it is a 3D bubble chart.

You can modify a chart axis or bubble size parameter directly by right-button mouse clicking on the selected column and row to open a pop-up menu:
